WALTHAM — Some homeowners may need to sell their home quickly to avoid foreclosure or because they’ve inherited the property in another state.
Others may just want to sell their home without having to make costly repairs.
Those homeowners who want to sell fast have a new opportunity now that 1-800-CashOffer, a national home buying service, has opened its New England office in Waltham.
Certified professional homebuyers with the Texas-based company have the financial resources to make quick offers to purchase homes, make necessary repairs and then put the home back on the market. Meanwhile, the homeowner isn’t stuck having to pay for commissions, repairs or other fees. “That’s why it’s a win-win situation,” said Dev Horn, the company’s vice-president.
Too often, Horn said so-called investors that have attended a real estate seminar throw up “We Buy Houses” signs on street corners, but really don’t have the resources or the experience to make purchases. Horn said 1-800-CashOffer only works with professional real estate investors with proven track records.
“We only involve the most seasoned and ethical professionals in the program,” Horn said.
Each 1-800-CashOffer office is independently owned and operated, Horn said.
The company’s Waltham-based office is headed up by Mardy Kozelian, a real estate investor with more than 15 years purchasing residential and commercial properties, who also spent over 7 years in the mortgage business. Kozelian previously worked with Homevestors and has a Massachusetts real estate salesman’s license.
“We’re excited to work with Mardy to provide the 1-800-CashOffer solution to homeowners in the Boston area and throughout New England,”said the company’s CEO Jeremy Brandt, in a statement. “Our goal is to connect homeowners to local professional investors that are experienced, capable, and ethical. Mardy is a great example of what 1-800-CashOffer is all about.”
Horn said that Kozelian can be reached by dialing 1-800-CashOffer or by visiting www.cashoffer.com.
“We have people calling him from as far up as New Hampshire and Maine and have gotten really great response from the initial advertising,” Horn said. Horn said that 1-800-CashOffer has around 15 offices in 12 states in cities including Dallas, Tex., Portland, Ore., and Salt Lake City, Utah.
